Because of a suspected concussion he suffered in an incident in qualifying on Saturday, Kurt Busch will miss Sunday's race at Pocono.

Ty Gibbs will drive Busch's No. 45 for 23XI Racing. Gibbs is the grandson of Washington Commanders coach and NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs.

Currently, Gibbs is driving for his grandfather's team in the Xfinity Series, which he shares with Denny Hamlin in the JGR Cup Series.

On Sunday, NASCAR reported Busch had a second opinion following his incident and was not cleared to compete.

Busch won in Kansas in May and is now in the Cup Series playoffs. However, NASCAR will waive him into the playoffs if he skips the race.
