In 2004, singer Britney Spears married childhood friend Jason Alexander in a Las Vegas ceremony, but the marriage was annulled 55 hours later.
Following the incident, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department charged Jason Alexander, 40, with two charges of misdemeanour battery, one act of misdemeanour vandalism, and one count of misdemeanour trespassing.
“I am very ecstatic this day has come, and they are married,” Asghari’s representative Brandon Cohen said. “I know he wanted this for so long. He is so caring and supportive every step of the way.”
According to a source published by People, the wedding would be attended by roughly 60 people from Spears’ and Asghari’s “tight circle.”
Donatella Versace, Paris Hilton, and the singer’s brother Bryan were allegedly among the guests, however Jamie-Lynn and her parents were not expected to attend.
Officers arrived to a trespassing issue at the residence and detained Alexander, the singer’s first husband, a boyhood acquaintance she famously married in Las Vegas in 2004 before getting an annulment just 55 hours later.
Alexander recorded an Instagram live story from near the home shortly before the event, saying he was going to “crash” Spears and Asghari’s wedding.
