This is owing to a Bloomberg article claiming that Santa Monica Studio will unveil the God of War Ragnarok release date shortly.
Tom Henderson, a well-known source, has responded to reports that the November release date for God of War Ragnarok will be announced later this month.
He went on to say that “this is compatible with several other key announcements from Sony over the last week of this month,” implying that another State of Play could be on the way.
This possible State of Play is likely to be dedicated to God of War Ragnarok.
Given that we have yet to see gameplay footage for this highly anticipated game, which also did not appear in yesterday’s major Summer Game Fest presentation, a 20-minute State of Play is readily justified.
After all, God of War Ragnarok is a lot bigger event than Hogwarts Legacy, which received a game-specific State of Play in March of this year.
If this State of Play includes more than God of War Ragnarok, it may include release dates for Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7, which are said to be coming to the PS5 soon.
